Lucid’s electric model, the Air has been hitting the roads for a while now, and reviews and the like are starting to pour in from users. The common thing people complain about is the software and that it causes problems for those who drive. Things that have been reported are, among other things, that cars suddenly stop running, and that they go the wrong way – ie sometimes backwards when you put forward gear. Not optimal of course.
Another user says that the car system suddenly stopped working while driving on the highway. The car slowed and the driver was given 30 seconds to pull off the road. Other strange things said to have happened is that the DreamDrive system cannot read speed signs if the car has been out in the sun for too long. Another says the screens get stuck when, say, you ask Alexa something — then two screens can go off and not start again until you restart the whole car. There are annoying issues for sure, but fortunately, the car can be updated over the air, so these things should be fixable. The program is currently in version 2.0.
