Today, September 9, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi releases “Forget Me.”
– I had returned. My new single is called “Forget Me,” and let’s be honest here, it covers a lot of the same ground as before. I meet a lady, a lady leaves me, and I complain about it in a pop song.” Lewis Capaldi

There are two sides to Lewis Capaldi, the comic character he often portrays online and the pop artist who can truly capture pain and heartbreak in his lyrics about lost love. “Forget Me” was written by Capaldi and TMS (they previously collaborated on Capaldi’s massive hit “Someone You Loved” – the fifth most streamed song of all time on Spotify) as well as Michael Bullock (who wrote Justin Bieber’s “Ghost”).
Lewis's debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent was released in 2019 and broke record after record in the UK:
- The best-selling albums by a British artist in 2019 and 2020
- 77 weeks in the top ten of the UK Albums Chart
- Most streamed debut album in the UK
