Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Ukraine has submitted a new draft of a peace agreement that differs from the one drawn up during the March 29 peace talks in Istanbul.

The changes, according to Lavrov, are “unacceptable.” Among other things, this will be a point that Ukraine will be allowed to conduct military exercises with other countries in Ukraine only if a number of countries, which have the status of providing security guarantees, agree to them.

In Istanbul, it was decided that Russia would be one of the countries with the possibility of refusing such military exercises. But according to Lavrov, Kyiv has now put forward a new proposal that does not mention Russia in this context.

However, Moscow is still ready to continue negotiations, the Russian news agency Interfax writes.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the photos of the bodies in Botca affect the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.

– Photos from Botja, Irbin and other areas are not accepted. These scenes overshadowed the negotiations, Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a press conference in Brussels.

Turkey played a mediating role and last week hosted negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, according to AFP.
