Work is expected to start
soon on former Manchester City footballer Vincent Kompany’s mixed use property
development in Ancoats, Manchester.
Contractor Artez has signed
a deal to build the scheme with a completion date set for summer 2021, Place
North West reports.
The development will
comprise around 24,000 sq ft of offices on the ground floor, with 23 one bed,
47 two bed and five three bed apartments on the upper floors.
The scheme is being
progressed through M4nchester Two Limited, a development company owned by
Kompany who is now player-manager at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium, and local property
investor and developer Nathan Ezair.
In a city in which thousands of apartments are either being developed or planned Kompany’s scheme is a relatively small one. However, his involvement could well help the properties stand out from among the many others to reach the market.
