One common concern among homeowners is whether everything will be okay when they leave the house. With this in mind, IKEA offers the PARASOLL door and window sensor, which sends messages to the user’s mobile phone if doors or windows are opened unexpectedly.
BadRing is another sensor that warns of water leakage, and is a useful tool to prevent potential damage caused by unexpected water leakage, for example. From the washing machine.
The third new product is the VALLHORN motion sensor. This device turns on the light when someone enters the room, which can, among other things, reduce electricity costs by reducing unnecessary lighting.
New IKEA smart sensors
Filings reveal that IKEA has a new motion sensor and unlock sensor on the way.
“These products are designed to be easily integrated into the home so people feel safe,” says Sandra Gøthler, interior design expert at IKEA.
All products are designed to be discreet with a simple white design that fits naturally into most home environments.
The new products are compatible with the existing IKEA DIRIGERA center, but can also be used independently. VALLHORN and UMBRELLA will be available from January 2024. BADRING will be available in April.
Pricing is not yet known, but we will update as soon as we know more.
