I ordered a Motorola RAZR that shipped on Tuesday. To my surprise, he appeared outside the door already today, that is, three days later. Here are my first impressions of the model!
The model comes in a very well designed box! I really like that Motorola put an effort into that. In addition to the phone, the box also contains a cover and a charger, which is a bit more than what Samsung includes in the boxes for its foldable models.
The first thing I thought when I took the phone out of the box was “WoW – what a big screen on the front compared to the Z Flip4”, something you can also see in the image below.
A lot of Chinese mobile phones tend to have issues with receiving notifications on time, however, I had no problem when it came to this model, which is surprising in a positive way! Many phones from China also have a lot of Chinese apps installed from the start that cannot be removed from the phone, fortunately, this is possible with the Razr 2022.
The terribly annoying thing is the hinge that the Samsung Z Flip4 has. I’m not going to lie, you’ll see it on the Razr if you’re looking for it, but you don’t feel it, and that’s what a foldable smartphone should be!
What seems somewhat questionable is the joint. For some reason it makes strange noises. I hope it’s only temporary but given the Razr’s history of quality issues, it’s possible that the 2022 version unfortunately suffered too. Hope it’s temporary though.
The thing that makes the phone feel special is its touch. Samsung didn’t have any other touches in its phones when compared to, say, OnePlus or Xiaomi, if you ask me, but I think Moto has done well with this too.
The phone is mainly running clean Android, which is really cool! Really like the menu but the shortcuts seem endless in the picture (and feel endless in reality).
This was my first impression! Test is coming soon!
