Harry and Meghan in a car chase in New York, USA

The car chase reportedly took place on Tuesday in New York when Harry and Meghan had just left the awards ceremony, where Meghan was recognized for her work for women. It was the couple’s first public appearance since King Charles’ coronation earlier in May.

According to the couple’s spokesperson, they were chased by paparazzi and the car chase was so intense that it was derailing.

“Last night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Lady Ragland (Meghan’s mother) were involved in a near-disastrous car chase thanks to a group of highly aggressive paparazzi,” a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.
