Google can do a lot, but one thing they can’t do is keep secrets, because now Android Authority claims to have obtained the company’s future plans for the Pixel. Next year, according to the leaked plans, Google will have four different phones planned. First, the Pixel 7a, which will then be a cheaper version of the Pixel 7, this time the budget phone will have wireless charging and a 90Hz display. We will next see the foldable Pixel Fold. At the end of the year, there will also be new Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, according to rumors, the regular eight will be slightly smaller than the Pixel 7, otherwise we don’t know much about these devices.
2024 will be the time for the Pixel 9, and then for the first time we’ll get three devices: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and a larger Pixel 9 Pro. So like the iPhone 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max (if you exclude the 14 Plus). The smaller one should be 6.3 inches and the larger one 6.7 inches. It is not clear if we will get a Pixel 8a this year, as Google could change the strategy until then and release one every two years.
What will happen two years from now in 2025 shouldn’t be fully determined, but according to Android Authority sources, it’s not entirely out of the question for Google to tease the idea of a smaller foldable device like the Galaxy Z Flip. But if it does not, we should see four models, a standard model in “small” and large sizes, and a Pro model in the same sizes.
