Too many returns have become a major concern for many electronic retailers, as cost squeezes the company’s margins.

Some players have chosen to address the issue by starting to charge a fee for returns, which is not always appreciated. In a survey by Publicis Sapient, it appears that 70 percent of Swedes would be more likely to stop shopping at a retailer if they charged a return fee.
To get around this, it became increasingly common for actors to choose to ban “serial returners,” that is, people who were in a system ordering a lot of goods and then returning them.
Bozet is one such actor, with 40,000 customers banned. Nelly also works with block clients to prevent abuse.
now SVT Nyheter reports About Emelie Calvert from Gothenburg, who ended up on the block list of several electronic retailers.
– At first I didn’t understand anything. Then I felt like I did something wrong, as I told SVT.
She buys five to ten new clothes a month, and most of the action takes place online.
“It’s so convenient for me as a consumer, I can lie on my TV couch and click home,” she tells the news site.
Nelly is one of the companies that chose to block Emelie Calvert because of the high returns. This is how the e-tailer’s press department writes to SVT:
– The suspension of buying from us does not occur randomly or on individual cases / occasions, but is based on an assessment based on several factors in the customer’s behavior.
Boozt also attests to the sparse feedback from its customers.
“Some feel angry and think they’ve been treated unfairly,” says Sandra Gad, Bozet’s director of finance and sustainability for SVT.
