With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, Embalator will become a much larger and more international packaging group. Kent Vitanen, starting in January 2023, will lead the group’s growth, and now the next important piece of the puzzle is being laid out – Maria Backlund has been named Head of Marketing and Sales Excellence.
Maria Backlund has extensive experience in sales and marketing with a long and successful career at Parker Hannifin. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Innovation Technology from Halmstad University and most recently came from the position of Group Sales Leader/Sales Manager at North Sales firm Parker Hannifen.
In her new position at Emballator, she will work closely with all Emballator companies and will improve branding, marketing activities and sales performance across the group. Maria will become part of the Embalator headquarters in Ulricehamn and begin in January 2023.
Maria is an outstanding leader with a high level of energy, who has a genuine interest in people and believes in the confidence and motivation to achieve better results. Her career at Parker Hannifin has provided her with an impressive set of sales and marketing tools, and she is accustomed to working for a high-performance international group serving large B2B clients, says Anders Davidsson, Embalator Acting CEO, Embalator Chairman and CEO Herinco Holdings.
Previously, Maria held the positions of Product Specialist, Director of Sales Support and Director of Marketing at Parker Hannifin. Prior to joining Parker Hannifin in 2002, she worked at Teleflex Automotive (today CJ Automotive) as a development and sales engineer.
For me, teamwork and cross-functional collaboration are important to success. “I really look forward to getting to know the team, the business and developing the Embalator further,” says Maria Backlund.
