Duckduckgo, probably best known for its privacy-focused search engine, now makes its browser for Windows available at open beta. Since then, the browser has also been available for IOS and Android devices as well as for Mac devices.
Duckduckgo Browser can automatically skip cookie settings and consent pop-ups by choosing the highest user privacy settings. It also automatically blocks third-party cookies and trackers that collect and sell user data.
In addition, the browser also has several other tools:
-
YouTube player, Duck Player, which blocks ads and ensures that the videos watched by the user do not influence recommended videos on the site.
-
Encryption to ensure that more websites and their links are encrypted than in other browsers
-
Fire button can clear recent browser data with one click. Anyone who wants can also protect selected websites from fire.
Finally, there is also email protection that allows users to hide their email by using a unique “@duck.com” address, for example when registering online. New users interested in Duckduckgo can import bookmarks and passwords from other browsers and password managers.
