Where are most of the world’s millionaires hiding? This is according to a brand new report from the London-based investment advisory firm Henley and CompanyAnd penta writes. Here are the ten richest cities in the world.
When Henley & Partners partnered with the global wealth intelligence firm New World Wealth Ranking the world’s richest people and the cities they prefer to live in, it’s not entirely unexpected that a number of large American cities are popping up.

Taking another look down the list shows that these countries also pretty much dominate the top 20, with Hong Kong and Dallas taking the 12th and 18th places respectively, penta writes.
The Swiss cities of Zurich, in 15th place, and Geneva, in 19th, are also at the top of the fight. Australia also took two podium spots with Sydney and Melbourne in eleventh and seventeenth respectively.

Yes, New York is the richest city in the world and has the largest number of local millionaires and billionaires. According to Henley & Co, 345,600 millionaires and 59 billionaires live in the city.
If one includes affluent commuting cities in the vicinity like Greenwich or Sands Point on Long Island, the probability is also high that this number will go up, According to the report.
A look at some of the other US cities shows that they too are still at the top, with San Francisco in a good third, Los Angeles in sixth and Chicago and Houston in seventh and eighth respectively.
Houston also advanced significantly from last year, when the city finished in 12th place, Penta writes.
Last but certainly not least is Tokyo. Strongly second place after New York, with 304,900 millionaires and 12 billionaires, respectively.
