During Mobile World Congress, companies showcase phones and phone technologies of various kinds. Google is on the spot, and in connection with the trade fair, it shows the novelties that Android users can enjoy.
In all, there are four improvements implemented in the software, but availability varies by device. One of the most useful upgrades occurs in Google Chrome, which has been added to improve the reading experience. The Zoom feature allows users to enlarge only the text on a web page being visited, rather than the entire image when you use your fingers to zoom. The feature will be widely launched soon, but it’s only available through Chrome beta on Android for now.
Google Meet has also gotten some love and now offers better audio for phone meeting participants thanks to noise reduction. The feature was available on some Android models, but wide support for this feature has now been implemented so that more people can benefit from higher-quality meeting audio.
Other added novelties are better handling of PDFs via Google Drive and users can now take notes directly into PDFs. For users who want to increase the opportunity to express themselves with emojis, the Gboard keyboard has expanded access to many emojis that can be combined with the Emoji Kitchen tool. Among other things, it should be possible to put smiles on balls of different kinds.
The aforementioned features are now more or less widely available for Android users, but as mentioned, availability may vary slightly. Upcoming additions include Fast Pair for Chromebooks, which enables quick connection of accessories, improved home screen widgets for Google Keep and new animations for Google Wallet.
