An Irish newspaper is
reporting that property mogul Christian Candy has spent £9m on a mansion in Surrey.
The Irish Times says that
Gayle Killilea, the estranged wife of bankrupt Irish developer Sean Dunne, sold
Belgravia House in Englefield Green in February for €10.2m (£9m). It says public
records show it was sold to
Christian Candy.
It adds that the house is
one of several properties that have previously been referenced in a complex legal
action in the US,
taken by Mr Dunne’s American bankruptcy trustee, who claimed that he
transferred tens of millions of euros in assets to his wife.
The newspapers says it
believes that now the property is in Christian Candy’s ownership he plans to redevelop
it and add it to his adjacent estate.
