The long-awaited sequel to “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” from 2017 will not be released this year as previously planned, but in 2023.
In connection with the release of the Nintendo Switch console in 2017, there was also the very successful and popular game “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”, which has sold more than 25 million copies.
Early in 2019, it was announced that a sequel was in the works and earlier the plan was that it would come this year, but now Nintendo announces that the game is slated to release Spring 2023.
We apologize to you who are looking forward to playing it this year. To make the gaming experience as good as possible, the entire team continues to work hard with the game, says game producer Eiji Onuma in the clip below.
As Nintendo previously reported, the still-untitled “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” sequel will take place in the same world as its predecessor, but with an opportunity to explore the skies.
– However, the expanded world goes further and there will be a wider range of functions that you can take advantage of, including meetings and new game items, the producer continues.
The sequel to “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” will be released for the Nintendo Switch in the spring of 2023.
