Boys at the Pet Shop to the Torboda Festival

The Töreboda Festival is scheduled for July 5-7 this summer, and as one of the last bookings, the organizers are now in for a real surprise. The international band Pet Shop Boys is coming to Töreboda this summer!

Tickets for the Töreboda Festival will go on sale on April 1 at 9:00 AM.

Pet Shop Boys consists of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe. They are the most successful duo in UK music history. The Pet Shop Boys are also one of the best-selling groups of all time and have sold over 100 million records. The lineup features 42 UK Top 30 singles, including 22 Top 10 hits and four No. 1 singles. They have released 13 studio albums, all of which ranked high on the international charts. Among their biggest hits can be mentioned “West End Girls”, “It's a Sin”, “Rent”, “Domino Dancing”, “Always on My Mind” and “Go West”.

As writers, producers and remixers, Tennant and Lowe have collaborated, remixed or written for a wide range of artists, including Dusty Springfield, Lady Gaga, Liza Minnelli, Madonna, David Bowie, Yoko Ono, The Killers and Girls Aloud.

In 2012, the Pet Shop Boys performed in front of a global television audience during the London Olympics. Pet Shop Boys created an original and influential style that blended pop music and theatrics, collaborating with a diverse group of directors, designers and artists, including Derek Jarman, David Alden, David Fielding, Zaha Hadid, Sam Taylor-Wood and S Devlin.

Pet Shop Boys released their album Electric in 2013. The album received rave reviews and gave Pet Shop Boys their highest chart position in 20 years in the UK and US. The subsequent tour visited 38 countries over three years. Pet Shop Boys' latest album was released worldwide in April 2016.
