The meeting will take place on June 16, in connection with Biden’s first trip abroad as president, the White House said in a statement.

Biden’s trip begins with the G7 meeting of heads of state and government in Cornwall, Britain, on June 11-13, and continues with the NATO summit in Brussels.
The advisors of the two world leaders discussed the upcoming meeting months ago. According to Saki, National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan recently spoke with his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev.
“It was an important step in the preparations for the planned US-Russia summit,” Psaki said on Monday.
