During testing of the DLG PowerMix 2.0 transmission, the new John Deere 6R 185 was found to be the most fuel-efficient tractor under 250 hp for road transport.
The DLG Test Center is located in Grob-Umstadt, Germany and performs many different tests on tractors. Ground transportation tests involve driving on the road under normal conditions with light and heavy loads.
After testing the transmission, it was found that the John Deere 6R 185 tractor enables savings on both fuel and AdBlue. According to the tests, the tractor can save about 20 kroner per hour of driving, which turned out to be the best result for tractors with a power of 250 horsepower.
The 6R 185 is a 7.9-ton lighter tractor with a production of 234 horsepower. The tractor was powered by a John Deere Autopower transmission and a proven 6.8-liter PowerTeck PVS engine.
