Barron Trump started last fall at New York University, which is ranked among the top universities in the United States.
There, he continued to keep a low profile, away from the cameras.
He was seen with his father only occasionally at various campaign meetings of the former president.
But according to the New York Post, the son plays an important role in the background.
During the year, Barron Trump reportedly helped his father reach a younger audience by suggesting which popular podcasts and YouTube shows the former president should participate in.
For example, the newspaper mentions Donald Trump participating in the podcast “Flagrant” with comedian Andrew Schultz, “This Past Weekend” with comedian Theo Vaughn, and “Impaulsive” with Internet personality Logan Paul.
“Hats off”
In total, these interviews reached an audience of many millions.
“Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of podcasts that we should do,” Jason Miller, a Trump campaign adviser, told Politico.
– I must say, hats off to the young man. Every recommendation he made has proven to be a complete success with large numbers of viewers.
Donald Trump previously said that his son also likes to give him advice on politics.
“He sometimes says to me, 'Dad, this is what you have to do,'” Trump said in a radio interview with 1210 WPHT in May.
