Apple confirmed to The Verge (via Macrumours) that Apple Intelligence will support the following new languages in 2025:
- English (India)
- English (Singapore)
- German
- Italian
- Korean
- Portuguese
- Vietnamese
Apple previously announced that support for spoken English versions would be added in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom in December, with support for Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish arriving next year.
If you're wondering why German and Italian are listed, but no other language is spoken in the EU, it's probably Switzerland, a country outside the EU where French, German, and Italian are also spoken.
Apple Intelligence features writing tools for proofreading, note summaries, and suggested responses in Messages, the ability to record and transcribe phone calls, and a new tool to quickly remove objects from photos in Photos.
Due to the Digital Markets Act, Apple Intelligence will not be available on iPhone or iPad in the EU. Some features will be limited to Macs with M1 chips or later.
