In November last year, AMD introduced HYPR-RX, a feature that would make it possible to improve the performance settings of some of the company’s graphics cards with one click. Then AMD said that the function will be released in the first half of 2023, which has not happened in the past.
It’s now July 2023 and AMD has missed its own deadline, which I first noticed Videocardz.com. It’s not uncommon for companies to miss promised launch dates, but AMD hasn’t said anything new about the HYPR-RX in eight months, nor has it announced an alternate release window.
The HYPR-RX combines AMD’s Radeon Super Resolution, Radeon Boost, and Radeon Anti-Lag technologies, the latter being the company’s Nvidia Reflex equivalent. Together, the three functions should enable better performance, lower latency, and input code in select games. All technologies are currently available via AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition, but not all of them can be running at the same time.
It remains to be seen if AMD will be ready soon with the HYPR-RX or any update regarding the launch date. With the current generation of graphics cards, accompanying software functionality is a big part of the news, which is why a flexible all-in-one solution is probably something AMD also prioritizes.
