About Alia's charity concert
According to a source close to her team, ANI reported that Alia will host the charity event on March 28 in partnership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Reportedly, the event will be attended by industrialists and philanthropists from India and London.
The event is in support of Alia's chosen charity, Salaam Bombay, which focuses on engaging Mumbai's most vulnerable 'at-risk' children through in-school programs (leadership and advocacy) and after-school academies (skill building) that help build their confidence. Self-esteem and their obligation to stay in school.
Alia Bhatt's latest projects
Alia recently wrapped up shooting for Jigra, which also stars Vedang Raina in the lead role. Announcing the cover, a few days ago, she shared candid photos from the sets of the film on her Instagram featuring her and Vedang. The film will be released in theaters in September 2024.
Jigra, directed by Vasan Bhalla, is being jointly produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself. Vasan has previously directed films like Monica O My Darling, Peddlers and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Jigra marks the first on-screen collaboration between Alia and Vasan.
Alia will also reportedly be seen in Farhan Akhtar's directorial Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. The film promises to be another friendship story in the lineage of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, work on the film has not begun yet.
