Manchester City Footballer
Sergio Aguero has apparently taken a penthouse apartment in Manchester’s newest high rise luxury
The Manchester Evening
News reports that the flat, currently Manchester’s
highest ever, occupies the 44th and 45th floors of the West Tower
at the new Deansgate Square
The report adds that
Aguero already has a house in Hale Barns, Cheshire,
and a flat in Spinningfields in the city centre. It does not disclose whether
Ageuro is buying or renting the flat. However, it does claim that it has a
rental value of £8,000 per week (around £400,000 a year).
Renaker’s Deansgate Square comprises
four high rise towers on the southern edge of Manchester City Centre and will also
offer residents a 25m swimming pool, tennis courts, a gym, five a side football
pitches, a cinema and a spa.
It is common practice, in
the luxury property world, for high end developments to secure a high profile occupant
to help add some cachet to their development – and this is likely to be the case
here. In a city divided by two football teams, however, Aguero could be a
controversial choice from a PR point of view.
