Daedalic Entertainment, the studio behind “Gollum” has now announced that it will shut down all in-house game development.
Instead of making games yourselves, you now only have to act as a game publisher – which means overseeing game development at various game studios and assisting with all administrative matters.
A representative for the company declared that “Despite the fact that ‘Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ did not live up to our expectations, we are very grateful for the opportunity and experience that the game has given us. It is challenging, but also a new beginning for us in our long history.”
For this reason, Daedalic has paused development of the unannounced Lord of the Rings project.
