Influencer Lisa Borg, 34, has spoken candidly about her longing for children and the difficulties of becoming pregnant. followers on tik tok, YouTube Instagram has been able to follow the IVF journey of her and her husband, Henrique Borges, 30, from the beginning.
In July, she published the news of the fetus being attached, but the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. The couple kept trying, and now Lisa Borg is speaking out about the next step in the battle to conceive. In one YouTube episode, she said she read on Mama that there were fertility clinics offering treatment with intralipid, which suppresses the immune system in people with an overactive system. This method is controversial and not well-studied, but Lisa Borg says she's willing to take a risk.
– When you are part of something and you encounter a patrol, I think it is good to take new approaches and try new things, she says in the clip, when viewers were able to see the first step in treatment.
Grieving after the announcement – and the next step
Later in the clip, viewers will be able to follow Lisa Borg through the process of retrieving her third egg – a moment that sparked strong emotions in her and Henrik. But the egg harvesting did not go as desired, as the couple reveals in the following sequence. Out of five follicles, only one egg was present. The couple hoped it would be a “golden egg.”
They were soon informed that the fertilization had failed. A teary-eyed Lisa Borg declared that “the little egg didn't survive” and that it was time to start over.
– There are a lot of emotions. It's as if it's shooting in many different directions. And they both struggled for a long time with the injections and the hormones and everything. And of course allow yourself to look forward to something. “We started with this drip to make things better, and there wasn't even a piece of crap to put in,” she says, wiping her tears.
It's clear in the clip that the Borg couple are facing a difficult choice: should they start again as soon as possible, even though they have long flights coming up to Thailand and Hawaii that mean Lisa can't continue her Intralipid treatment. Or should they wait until March when they return home?
