Israel: Sinwar's right hand is dead the world

The three leaders were killed in northern Gaza “about three months ago,” according to the Israeli army. It is not clear why the deaths were announced only now.

One of the dead, Rawhi Mushtaha, was close to the persecuted Yahya Sinwar when they were imprisoned together in Israel for many years. Israel describes Mushtaha as “Sinwar's right-hand man and one of his closest associates.” He was also reported to be one of the main figures behind the attacks on Israel on October 7 last year.

One of the other three is Sami al-Sarraj, who was a member of Hamas's highest political bureau and the highest government in Gaza.

The third is Sami Odeh, a high-ranking figure in Hamas intelligence.

Hamas did not say anything about the killing of these three people. According to Israel, this happened during a targeted air strike on a hideout in northern Gaza, based on special intelligence information.

“The facility served as a command and control center for Hamas and allowed senior members to remain there for long periods,” the Israeli army said, adding that it was also “a hideout for the Hamas leadership, headed by Mushtaha.”

According to an Israeli statement, the deaths on the Hamas side were kept secret, among other things, so as not to affect the fighting morale in their ranks.
