Alzheimer’s disease often leads to feelings of great loneliness amidst all the worry and sadness. It limits daily life and many people diagnosed don’t want to talk about it. Since dementia is a common disease, it should not be taboo, says Eva Stahl, the new dementia coordinator in Järvelä Municipality.
-More forums and greater openness to meet the needs of these people are needed, and continue to be. Because the more advice and guidance you can get at an early stage, the better. Whether for the person with dementia or for relatives. That’s why we celebrate World Alzheimer’s Day.
On Thursday 21 September, we welcome all Järfälla residents interested in learning more about Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia to Senior Meeting Flottiljen, where there will be an exhibition and lectures throughout the afternoon.
From the program:
Food and meal tips for dementia, Lena Nordbaek, Nutritionist, Järvalla Municipality
