Vast introduces the Haven-1 space station. There could be a lot of space stations around the Earth in the future.

In 2030, the International Space Station is supposed to be retired and after that, one or more private space stations are supposed to take over the work that is currently being done on the International Space Station.

Today, the American aerospace company Vast presented the Haven-1 space station, which it plans to build with the help of SpaceX. Haven-1 is a relatively small space station that Vast hopes will be in Earth orbit as early as 2025. The idea is that it will be launched into space using one of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rockets. Up to four astronauts will then be able to be on Haven -1 at the same time and will be transported to and from the space station by SpaceX Crew Dragon vehicles.

If Vast succeeds in getting Haven-1 into space in 2025, it will likely be in front of Orbital Reef, the space station that will be built by Blue Origin with Boeing and Sierra Space, among others, and which is supposed to be put into space sometime What in the second half of the decade. Voyager Space, Lockheed Martin, and Nanoracks aim to have the Starlab space station in space by 2027.

Northrop Grumman and Dynetics as well as Airbus plan to develop space stations, but the timetable for these stations is unclear.
