When smartphones came along, they weren’t quite as smart as they are today and being able to do many things at the same time in different programs the way you do them in Windows was mostly a dream.
But already with the launch of Android 7 (Nougat), which came in 2016, Google introduced the standard split screen mode for all Android smartphones and tablets.
There are many areas of use because you have two different applications in front of you. For example, you can compare prices between two shopping sites at the same time, chat with your friends on Messenger while watching a movie, or take notes while watching a Youtube video tutorial.

The applications to be used must support the function, but at present many of them do not. And as usual with Android, there are differences between different manufacturers and phones. In addition, unfortunately, the way to show split screen has changed with Android 8. Since 7 is not popular anymore, we are showing how it is done nowadays.
1. Launch applications
Make sure that the two apps you want to use are already running. push the button latest applications (the three lines) or swipe up if this button is not there.
2. Share
Click the icon above the app you want to open first. Choose Open in split screen view.
3. Select Next
The selected application is placed in the upper or left half of the screen. The second half shows your apps and you can easily choose the next one.
4. Side by side
Both apps are now open and you can use them simultaneously. To resize or remove the partition, drag the line separating the apps.
