Russian soldiers have arrested the head of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, according to the Ukrainian Energy Agency.

Now he has disappeared.

Energiatom writes: “Arrest poses a danger to the operation of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant” cable.

According to Energiatom, General Manager Ihor Morashov was taken blindfolded after he was stopped in his car on his way to the town of Enerhodar.

“He was driving in an unknown direction. There is currently no information about his fate,” she added.

Murashov bears the main responsibility for the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and is identified as a key figure in securing operations.

“We demand the Russians illegally residing at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant to immediately stop acts of nuclear terrorism against the management and employees of the nuclear power plant, immediately release the general manager and allow him to return to his responsibilities to maintain the safe operation of Zaporizhzhya.

Energiatom sent an appeal to the United Nations Atomic Energy Agency for help.

“They took all possible measures to immediately release the Director General from Russian families and return him to perform his duties.”

The Institute of Experts is now demanding clarification from the Russian authorities about whether the head of the nuclear power plant has been arrested or not, according to Reuters.
